Online worship

Robert Wilkie, our Auxiliary Minister, is planning to start posting video services on Facebook on Sunday 26 April.

It should be possible to watch without a Facebook account, but here's how to get one if need be:

Go to http://www.facebook.com

You will be invited to create a new account.

Provide your mobile or your email address.

If you don't have either of those, you can get a free email address at various sites such as Yahoo and Google.

As well as your first name and surname, you need to tell Facebook your date of birth. That is to make sure you are over 13. You can tell it later not to show when your birthday is (or to show the date but not the year) if you don't want people to know.

Pick a password that other people, and computer programs, are unlikely to guess. There are various sites that give advice about creating strong passwords or will even generate one for you (search for "strong password"). Make sure that either you can remember it or your computer memorises it.

Once you are in Facebook, search for Craigie & Moncreiffe Church. When you find our page, click Like. Then anything that goes on the church's page should appear in your Facebook feed.

If you are having difficulty setting up your Facebook account, phone a friend. Children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews tend to be pretty clued up on this sort of thing. They could with your permission create an account for you, and all you would need to do is login.
